II.D. Selecting, developing and administering assessments that utilize technological applications and involve multiple indicators of student progress and using technology to maintain records on student achievement
Reflection: The GILT 518 course gave me a strong set of tools to use when assessing students using different types of technology. I created videos to allow teachers to track behaviors, I learned how to create surveys, and I analyzed data using SPSS. Assessment is so important to the teaching and learning process, and the 518 course taught me many different ways to assess. Though I had learned a lot about assessmnet during my undergraduate courses, 518 was a great refresher and helped me learn the best ways to use technology in order to make assessment easier.

In our collaborative technology plan, we made sure to monitor student progress using 4Sight assessments at three benchmark periods throughout the year. After having previous experience using 4Sight assessments in Title I, I mentioned to my group the importance of having an online measure of student progress that teachers could easily track. The Technology Plan can be found below.

I created two surveys using Google forms and SurveyMonkey. After asking several friends to complete the survey, I did a brief analysis of the data. The analysis document with links to the actual data can be found here.

In GILT 518, I created two movies to help teachers assess student behavior. These movies included Word documents to help track each of the behaviors. The first video was observing one student while he was painting and served as the "educational" video, and its tracking sheet can be found here. The second video was my "fun" observation video, and its tracking sheet can be found here.
