The online teacher promotes student success through clear expectations, prompt responses, and regular feedback.

 

Reflection: By including a variety of discussion boards and assignment descriptions, I made sure that students were able to succeed. One of the first necessary things that I wanted to include in my site was a page for course navigation. I wanted to set my students up for success by providing them with information on how to move through the course and what the different icons represented. Additionally, I provided a Frequently Asked Questions discussion board where students could easily post a question to be answered by me. Because students often have the same question, by opening a public question area, I can better reach many students at once. I also made sure to include thorough directions for the large project (Planet Representation project), and I even recorded a screencast to demonstrate how to download the software and use the tools.
