-
Uses data from multiple sources including PSSA and PVAS in forming decisions, utilizing resources setting targets, and interpreting results aimed at continuous improvement in student achievement, curriculum, personnel and/or programs.
Reflection: It was important to gather data both before and after my teaching to show student progress throughout the teaching of the unit. The data that I gathered show major improvement in both cognitive and technology skills. I made sure to display the data in various ways in order to give viewers a visual representation in addition to the statistics.
Rating: Exceeds expectation
Artifacts: The student evaluation section shows data before and after teaching in terms of both cognitive and technology skills. I have also included the analysis that I conducted before teaching the unit to show my initial thoughts on the population.
-
Accesses and interprets data from available technologies and resources to address long-term and strategic planning needs of the school in areas of student achievement, personnel, fiscal operations, facilities, technology and/or other school district initiatives.
Reflection: It was important for me to see where my colleagues needed additional technological training in order to help them improve their skills. As a result, we were able to implement new technologies to help teach the students more in more unique ways, and in ways that were more relevant to them.
Rating: Exceeds expectation
Artifacts: The staff evaluation section shows the data before and after the professional development session that I conducted. The analysis section shows how I hoped to conduct the professional development session and my initial thoughts on my colleagues' technological abilities.
-
Compares data from local, state and national sources to develop an action plan designed to enhance student success.
Reflection: I was able to see where my fellow staff members were struggling, and I designed my professional development around tools that would be the most beneficial in their classrooms. It was important to recognize that now all of my colleagues would be comfortable researching a topic on technology, so I made sure to have my colleagues pair up and complete their investigations of Web 2.0 tools together.
Rating: Exceeds expectation
Artifacts: I have included both my initial staff design component, and then the revised design that I completed in order to make the materials for the development section of my implementation.
-
Communicates an action plan to a select group of stakeholders that is responsive to how data is presented and the implications of information dissemination
Reflection:In the development section of my staff information, I made sure to make information as clear as possible, in order to teach them more about tools that would provide the highest rate of student success when implemented properly. The information that I presented had to be relevant to each of the educators in order to allow them to implement the tools in their classroom.
Rating: Meets expectation
Artifacts: Attached are the artifacts that I created during the staff development session. The first part of the professional development session included a presentation on TED-Ed with a handout. The second part was a presentation on Web 2.0 tools which moved into a jigsaw activity looking at each of the tools.
